Tarsier Studios has detailed Reanimal's upcoming friend's pass, post-launch DLC plans, and PC system specs ahead of its February 13 release across PC, current-gen consoles, and Nintendo Switch 2, as detailed in a report by Eurogamer.
Tarsier Studios is gearing up for the February release of Reanimal, the spiritual successor to Little Nightmares, by sharing key details regarding post-launch content, system specs, and cooperative play. According to a recent update on Steam reported by Eurogamer, the upcoming horror title will feature a friend's pass system. This player-friendly feature allows you to invite a friend to play the game online even if they do not own a copy, mirroring the accessibility models of recent co-op hits. Local co-op and single-player modes will also be fully supported when the game launches across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and the Nintendo Switch 2 on February 13.
The development team also outlined its post-launch strategy, confirming that three DLC packs are already locked in and will be included in the game's Deluxe Edition. While a standalone release of the original soundtrack is unlikely right away, Tarsier expressed interest in making it available at a later date. Meanwhile, the currently available console and PC demo is set to receive an update soon to reflect the polished state of the final build. PC players can also review the provisional system requirements, which require a GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 480 for minimum specs, ensuring a relatively accessible entry point for most rigs.
Reanimal continues the studio's signature formula of dark, unsettling atmospheres while leaning heavily into shared survival experiences. By building in features like a friend's pass, the developers are removing the usual friction of getting a gaming group together for a new release. Whether you are tackling the horrors solo, via local couch co-op, or online with a friend across platforms, the February release date positions the game as a standout multiplayer horror option for the community.
