A listing on the Xbox Store has leaked Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition, pointing to a modern remaster of the 2011 platformer as part of a wider revival of the classic Ubisoft franchise.
Platform-hopping fans have a reason to celebrate as classic platformer titles slowly make their way back into the modern spotlight. According to a recent leak on the Xbox Store, first reported by Game Rant, Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition is on the way. This upcoming release gives a fresh coat of paint to the beloved 2011 platformer, bringing its hand-drawn art style and challenging cooperative gameplay to contemporary hardware. For players who grew up with the franchise or discovered it later through titles like Rayman Legends, this leak confirms that Ubisoft is actively dusting off its classic IPs.
This discovery follows a noticeable shift in how Ubisoft is treating the franchise lately. The official Rayman social media channels recently woke up from a four-year slumber, coinciding with the rollout of the Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition. While publishers love a good surprise drop, storefront leaks have become an inevitability in modern gaming, often spoiling big announcements ahead of schedule. Even so, community reaction to the leak has been overwhelmingly positive. Fans have spent years hoping for a proper return for the limbless hero, especially as traditional platformers carve out a healthy niche alongside live service giants.
Bringing Rayman Origins back to modern consoles and PC via an enhanced edition makes a lot of sense for both preservation and accessibility. As subscription services and digital storefronts shape how we consume games, having native ports of foundational titles helps bridge the gap for newer generations of players. We will have to wait for an official announcement from Ubisoft to learn about specific upgrades, pricing, and release dates, but the prospect of diving back into those vibrant levels with modern performance standards is a welcome win for platformer fans everywhere.
