A new gameplay leak showing GTA 6 protagonist Jason has appeared online ahead of the official Netflix Extended Look on August 27.
A one-minute gameplay clip featuring Grand Theft Auto 6 protagonist Jason Duval has surfaced online, sparking intense debate across community forums just days before an official showcase. Originally reported by GameRant, the footage shows Jason interacting with his environment, moving across a porch, and shooting a basketball. Fans analyzing the video note that the consistent environment and lack of obvious generative AI artifacts have convinced many that the leak could be an authentic, albeit older, development build.
While the animations appear slightly stiff and the user interface looks basic, these traits are common in unpolished builds shared internally or leaked from early development stages. The clip also includes a QR code tied to a known leaker handle, though security-minded community members advise steering clear of the linked external site to avoid potential phishing risks. Given Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive's strict history with asset protection and intellectual property, any unauthorized footage usually faces swift removal, making the survival of this clip notable.
Whether this leak is an elaborate hoax or a genuine slice of an older build, players will not have to wait long for official confirmation. The upcoming GTA 6 Extended Look is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on August 27, giving the community a verified, high-definition look at what Rockstar has been building. As hype builds toward the release window, expect Take-Two to keep a very tight grip on official messaging while the community scrutinizes every pixel leading up to launch day.
