Postal Developer Unveils Psychological Horror FPS Flesh and Wire for a 2027 Release

Running With Scissors has announced Flesh and Wire, a psychological horror FPS slated for a 2027 release on PC, Steam Deck, and PlayStation 5.

Running With Scissors is digging back into its psychological horror roots with a brand new first person shooter called Flesh and Wire, which just received its official announcement trailer during IGN Fan Fest 2026. Known widely for the chaotic and controversial Postal franchise, the studio is taking a darker and more twisted narrative approach this time around. Players will step into the shoes of Angel, a hapless victim pulled into a bloody fever dream of conspiracy and vengeance following a life altering encounter with a crazed gunman.

The newly released footage sets a deeply unsettling tone, moving away from pure satire to focus heavily on psychological dread and gritty survival. While the Postal series leans heavily into open sandbox chaos, Flesh and Wire appears to trade some of that signature madness for a more directed and atmospheric nightmare. Angel's quest for answers drives a narrative that promises plenty of bloodshed, mystery, and visceral combat as she hunts down the person responsible for destroying her life.

Set for a 2027 release, the game is currently planned to launch across PC via Steam and GOG, Steam Deck, and PlayStation 5, ensuring that players across multiple platforms can dive into the darkness. As development continues, it will be interesting to see how Running With Scissors balances its chaotic heritage with this more focused horror experience.
