Pokémon TCG Pocket is keeping its momentum rolling with the announcement of its next major booster pack, Crimson Blaze. Slated to arrive on December 17th, the upcoming drop leans heavily into fan nostalgia by introducing iconic Mega Evolutions like Mega Charizard Y, Mega Venusaur, and Mega Blastoise. Beyond the heavy hitters, the expansion features a fresh research lab theme across its new card roster, offering collectors plenty of fresh deck building possibilities as mobile players head into the holidays.
This addition coincides with a broader resurgence for Mega Evolutions across the franchise, following their high profile return in Pokémon Legends: Z-A and its recent DLC. DeNA is timing the TCG Pocket update to anchor a packed seasonal roadmap. Players can expect a dedicated holiday event kicking off on Christmas Day and running through January 8th, loaded with seasonal rewards to keep mobile grinders engaged.
The early year calendar is already filling up fast for the app. January brings a Mareep Drop Event, a fresh Wonder Pick Event, and a high stakes Mega Latios ex Drop Event. As digital card economies continue to evolve on mobile platforms, DeNA is clearly betting that steady, themed drops combined with fan favourite mechanics will keep daily active user numbers strong.
