Pokémon Legends: Z-A Version 2.0.0 and the Mega Dimension DLC are out now, bringing a new Hoopa-focused campaign, a level cap increase, and a wave of new Mega Evolutions to Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
The Pokémon Company is shaking up the current generation with the surprise launch of Version 2.0.0 for Pokémon Legends: Z-A. As reported by IGN South Africa, the massive update arrives alongside the brand new Mega Dimension DLC, bringing a fresh story campaign to both Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 players. This time around, the narrative centers on a donut chef and the Mythical Pokémon Hoopa, whisking players away into a twisted Hyperspace version of Lumiose City that finally shatters the traditional level 100 cap.
Beyond the story additions, the update delivers a substantial wave of all-new Mega Evolutions, injecting fresh life into the community meta and exploration loops. While Nintendo kept several surprises hidden ahead of the patch, dataminers have already begun uncovering the full roster. For players who treat team building and digital collection as a core part of the experience, hunting down these newly minted Mega forms provides plenty of endgame motivation.
This release likely marks the final major content drop for the ninth generation of Pokémon. With the franchise gearing up for its milestone 30th anniversary next year, attention is already shifting toward the expected arrival of Generation 10. For now, this expansion gives cross-platform players and longtime fans a compelling reason to dive back into the streets of Lumiose City and test the limits of their leveled rosters.
