The Pokemon Company has delayed the North American release of the Erika and Larry Collection from the upcoming Ascended Heroes TCG expansion, pushing the launch from January 30 to February 20.
If you were gearing up to rip open some fresh cards this weekend, you might need to adjust your plans. The Pokemon Company has confirmed a last-minute schedule shift for the upcoming Ascended Heroes expansion, pushing back key products in the United States and Canada by several weeks. According to an official update shared on social media, the anticipated Erika and Larry Collection is moving from its original January 30 release date to a new launch window of February 20. No specific reasons were provided for the adjustment, leaving collectors to wait a little longer before getting their hands on these particular items.
The delay is a frustrating hiccup for collectors and competitive players alike, especially as the community ramps up for the franchise milestone celebrations. Ascended Heroes is positioned as a massive bridge between eras, combining fan-favorite mechanics from past sets like Stellar Tera Pokemon and Owner's Pokemon with the long-awaited arrival of Mega Pokemon. The expansion also serves as an important showcase for newcomers from Pokemon Legends Z-A, bringing trainers like Corbeau and Canari into the physical card game for the very first time.
While schedule changes and supply chain adjustments are practically par for the course in the modern TCG space, short-notice shifts always cause ripples among communities who coordinate meetups, pre-releases, and content drops. Fortunately, the wider rollout for early 2026 remains on track, with the follow-up set Perfect Order still locked in for late March. For now, North American fans will just need to exercise a bit of patience before completing their pre-orders and diving into the new meta. Original reporting comes via Game Rant, which you can read.
