Pokemon TCG Pocket Just Got a Whole Lot Less Grind-y, and Players Are Cheering

Pokemon TCG Pocket's latest update is bringing much-needed quality-of-life improvements, like ditching the Trade Tokens and streamlining the trading system, and players are generally thrilled with the changes. It's about time, I reckon!

Alright, listen up, card slingers! It seems like someone at DeNA (the folks behind *Pokemon TCG Pocket*) finally listened to the chorus of groans echoing from players struggling with the game's trading system. According to Game Rant, the latest update is dropping some seriously sweet quality-of-life improvements, and the community is pretty chuffed about it.

The original sin, as many saw it, was the dreaded Trade Token. These things were about as popular as a Zubat in a cave without Repel. Thankfully, as Game Rant reports, they're getting the boot on July 30th. Good riddance, I say! Replacing them is Shinedust, which sounds way more magical and less like… well, busywork.

But wait, there's more! (Sound familiar to anyone who's ever been to a dodgy wizard's market?).

Players can now create a wishlist of up to 20 cards! Twenty! That’s a proper shopping list for digital desires. Sharing these wishlists should make trading less like shouting into the void and more like… y'know… an actual transaction between humans (or, you know, digital humans battling with pocket monsters).

Before this, the shop was a bit of a mess, wasn't it? Thankfully, the update, as highlighted by Game Rant, brings some much-needed clarity. Wonder Hourglasses can now be purchased in bulk (hallelujah!), and the pack point exchange shop now shows you exactly how many of each card you already own. No more accidentally buying that fifth Flareon ex when you really need a Charizard (we've all been there, right?).

Many players are praising DeNA for these changes, and rightly so. It’s a step in the right direction. Are there still things to improve? Of course! Some folks are clamoring for a sell-back feature – imagine being able to recycle those duplicates for sweet, sweet pack points. But hey, one step at a time, eh?

All these improvements come just in time for the *Wisdom of Sea and Sky* expansion, also launching on July 30th. Get ready to dive into the Johto region, catch up with Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, and even snag a Lugia or Ho-Oh. Plus, apparently, there are Pokemon with attacks that don't even need Energy! (What kind of sorcery is this?!). That's going to shake up deck-building something fierce.

So, hats off to DeNA for listening to the players and making *Pokemon TCG Pocket* a less frustrating and more enjoyable experience. It's not perfect, but it's a damn sight better than it was. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got a wishlist to compile and some packs to open!
