Pokemon TCG Pocket is adding a Paldea-themed booster pack called Paldean Wonders on February 26, featuring Scarlet and Violet starters, regional trainers, and a meta-shifting Gholdengo ex card, as reported by Polygon.
Pokemon TCG Pocket is gearing up for its next major mobile drop, shifting the spotlight squarely to the Generation Nine roster. According to a report by Polygon, the upcoming Paldean Wonders expansion arrives on February 26, bringing a fresh wave of Scarlet and Violet favorites to the digital card game. Following the recent Fantastical Parade set, this update continues a trend of streamlining collector choices by focusing on a single, cohesive booster drop instead of splitting attention across multiple sets simultaneously.
The upcoming update puts Scarlet and Violet starters Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly front and center, while also introducing beloved regional staples like Smoliv, Klawf, Pawmi, and Paldean Wooper. Deck builders will also gain access to new utility through trainer cards featuring Arven and Nemona, alongside a Mesagoza stadium card. Collectors hunting for visual flair can look forward to a full-art Maushold card, plus a formidable Meowscarada ex that is sure to shake up current ladder metas.
Not every addition is drawing universal praise from the community, however. Gholdengo is entering the fray with a new ex card sporting a potentially meta-shaking ability called Spending Rush. Armed with a low-cost attack that scales damage based on attached steel energy, this controversial gold-plated powerhouse could easily punish players who lean too heavily on early heavy hitters. As TCG Pocket rolls into its second year, this Paldea-focused update gives mobile deck builders plenty of new tactical headaches to master when it drops next week.
