Recent in-game events across Pokemon Scarlet, Violet, and Legends: Z-A are acting as subtle teasers for the upcoming Generation 10 titles, Pokemon Winds and Waves, according to a report by Game Rant.
The Pokemon Company is leaning into community detective work once again, using active events in Scarlet and Violet alongside Legends: Z-A to lay the groundwork for the upcoming generation. According to a recent report from Game Rant, these specialized in-game events are carefully themed around the core elemental types tied to the titles of the franchise's upcoming tenth generation, Pokemon Winds and Waves. For a community that treats every pixel and data leak as a massive social event across Discord and streaming platforms, these subtle nods give players plenty to theorize about while waiting for the next major release.
Set in a sprawling tropical island region inspired by Southeast Asia, Winds and Waves is shaping up to be a major technical and structural leap for the series. Early details have already introduced the next generation of starter companions, namely Growt, Pombon, and Gecqua, while pointing toward expanded exploration mechanics like underwater areas and a massive open world. As digital economies, live service elements, and continuous engagement shape how we play across console and mobile ecosystems, keeping the momentum alive through active cross-game events has become a staple strategy for modern franchise management.
Beyond the environmental teasers and elemental events, recent leaks point to exciting roster additions, including a brand new evolution for Salandit that introduces a fresh type combination to the meta. As Game Freak continues to build anticipation for the milestone tenth generation, these ongoing crossover events bridge the gap between current titles and the future of the series. For players deeply invested in the competitive scene and community lore, the rollout proves that the journey toward Winds and Waves has already begun in-game.
