Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are launching a surprise summer event featuring a Seven-Star Dragon-type Magikarp Tera Raid and regional Water-type Mass Outbreaks across Paldea, Kitakami, and the Terarium from July 16 to August 6.
Even as the community looks ahead to future franchise horizons, The Pokemon Company is keeping Paldea active with a fresh wave of seasonal content. According to a recent report by Game Rant, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are rolling out a surprise summer event block featuring a very unique Seven-Star Tera Raid boss alongside extensive regional Mass Outbreaks. Running from July 16 through August 6, the upcoming schedule gives trainers plenty of reasons to jump back into the current generation and stock up on rare catches.
The main attraction of the update is an unexpected Seven-Star Tera Raid featuring a Dragon-type Magikarp. While recent high-tier raids have focused heavily on starter trios like Hisuian Samurott and Hisuian Decidueye, this upcoming boss trades raw starter power for internet meme status. True to form, reports indicate that this Unrivaled Magikarp will rely on a classic loadout consisting of Splash, Tackle, and Flail. Alongside the raid, players can dive into widespread Water-type Mass Outbreaks spanning Paldea, Kitakami, and the Terarium, offering increased spawn rates and boosted odds for special marks.
For players looking to maximize their farming efficiency, these outbreaks present an ideal grind. Regional favorites like Tatsugiri, Dondozo, Feebas, and Lapras will appear more frequently, and players can further stack their odds by crafting sandwiches that grant the Title Power Water buff. Whether you are hunting for shiny variants or simply rounding out your competitive boxes, this summer event offers a fun, low-stakes reason to connect with friends and tackle some co-op raids together.
