Pokemon Go's Winter Holiday Part 2 event runs from December 24-29, bringing Rolycoly to the game alongside boosted shiny rates, event-themed item drops, and active Go Pass bonuses.
Niantic is keeping community momentum high right through the end of December with the launch of Pokemon Go's Winter Holiday Part 2 event. Running from December 24 through December 29, the update officially introduces the coal Pokemon Rolycoly to the mobile ecosystem. Alongside the new dex addition, players can take advantage of event themed catches that dish out valuable resources like Fast TMs, Charged TMs, Silver Pinap Berries, Golden Razz Berries, and Rare Candies, giving active trainers plenty of incentives to brave the winter weather.
The timing also means the Go Pass: Winter Holiday 2025 remains fully active, allowing players to squeeze out extra value from their daily grind. Free track participants are pulling in doubled XP for sending gifts along with extra items and a 50% XP boost for raids. Meanwhile, premium pass holders are capitalizing on halved egg hatch distances, doubled Stardust from gifts, and double catch XP. Niantic has also increased shiny encounter rates for costumed Stantler and Dedenne, while standard wild spawns and 7km egg pools have shifted to feature seasonal favorites.
Raids are also getting a targeted refresh for the event duration, featuring a mix of one-star and three-star encounters like Alolan Sandshrew, Galarian Darumaka, and holiday-attired variants of Sudowoodo and Charjabug.
