Pokemon GO players can use the promo code 0004POKEMONGO on the official webstore to unlock a free timed research quest for a goggled Charmander before September 22.
Pokemon GO players have a limited window to claim a special timed research quest that rewards a unique encounter with Professor Friede's goggled Charmander from the Pokemon Horizons anime. To grab the free reward, trainers simply need to head over to the official Pokemon GO webstore and redeem the promotional code 0004POKEMONGO before the deadline on September 22 at 8 PM local time.
This anime crossover arrives in the middle of a packed month for the mobile game, following the launch of the Twilight Trails event alongside the return of fan favorite features like Armored Mewtwo and the Mega Squads activities. The timed research gives players a straightforward path to adding the costumed starter and its evolutions to their collections, offering a nice nod to current viewers of the animated series without requiring any microtransactions or grind.
Looking further ahead, Niantic is keeping the momentum going with plenty of events on the horizon, including the upcoming Wild Area celebration featuring heavy hitters like Dynamax Palkia and Dialga. For mobile players who treat Pokemon GO as a daily routine, taking two minutes to input the redemption code is an easy win before the September 22 cutoff date rolls around.
