Pokemon Go's 2026 Sustainability Week event introduces Silicobra to the mobile game alongside a dedicated event pass, costumed Galarian Corsola, and gameplay bonuses running through April 20.
Pokemon Go is rolling out its annual Sustainability Week event, running from April 14 to 20, bringing fresh spawns, themed rewards, and a major regional debut to the mobile hit. According to a detailed guide from Polygon, the event marks the official arrival of Silicobra from the Galar region. Players hunting for the new ground type are reporting that it primarily spawns in desert-like environments and sandy areas, so you might need to plan a trip outdoors or seek out local sand pits to secure your catch. Veterans should keep in mind that Silicobra evolves into Sandaconda using 50 candies, but since a Gigantamax form is expected down the line, holding onto your hard earned candy might be the smartest play.
The update also introduces the Go Pass: Sustainability Week, featuring free and paid reward tiers that offer encounters with a stylish Galarian Corsola wearing pink sunglasses at ranks 19 and 30. Pass progression unlocks helpful quality of life bonuses, including doubled XP from spinning PokeStops on the basic track that triples if you grab the deluxe version, alongside halved egg hatch distances for everyone at rank 20. If you are into character customization, the deluxe pass also includes a Potted Plant avatar pose at rank 15.
Beyond the pass, the week long celebration packs the usual rotation of boosted wild spawns, event specific Field Research tasks, and seven kilometer egg hatches featuring increased shiny rates for select species. Whether you are grinding out candy, hunting down that elusive shiny Toedscool, or just clearing out your egg inventory during a community walk, Niantic is keeping the mobile ecosystem active. Head over to Polygon for the full breakdown of spawn pools and task rewards to optimize your route before the event wraps up on April 20.
