Pokemon GO players can unlock free costumed Pikachu variants and a competitive Tinkaton by watching official Twitch streams for the Pokemon Worlds 2026 tournament.
Pokemon GO is handing out free costumed Pikachu and a competitive Tinkaton, but you will need to put in some screen time to claim them. As reported by Game Rant, the rewards are tied to the Pokemon Worlds 2026 celebrations and require players to link their Pokemon Trainer Central account to Twitch. Tuning into the official livestreams on August 28 and 29 unlocks timed research tasks, granting useful gear like an Elite Charged TM alongside event exclusive monsters.
The catch is straightforward, requiring specific watch times across designated channels. Hanging out in the main stream for thirty minutes bags you a starter team research encounter, while hitting the one hour mark secures the Tinkaton modeled after reigning champion Beelzeboy's winning roster. Additional drops include a Cosmog themed spacesuit Pikachu for tuning into the PokemonXP panel, and a green 2026 Worlds avatar T shirt code unlocked via stream viewing.
For players who prefer raiding over streaming, these special variants will also pop up in One Star Raids through August 30. It is a nice bonus during a busy season for the augmented reality game, which is currently wrapping up its Forever Forward run with a massive Mega Evolution finale before transitioning into the upcoming Twilight Trails Halloween update.
