Pokemon GO has announced its next seasonal update, Twilight Trails, bringing new Mega Evolutions and Gen 9 species to mobile players starting this September.

Developer Scopely Explore shared a teaser trailer showcasing silhouettes of incoming additions, including Mega Chandelure and Mega Staraptor from Pokemon Legends: Z-A. The upcoming season will also introduce Maschiff from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, alongside a silhouette of Zorua that lines up with recent community leaks regarding an October Community Day.
Before Twilight Trails officially launches, the current Forever Forward season still has a massive send-off planned. A Pokemon GO Fest Mega Finale is scheduled for September 5 and 6, which will bring Mega Greninja, Mega Chesnaught, and Mega Delphox into the mobile hit. These additions continue a steady stream of Legends: Z-A content that has dominated the game's recent updates, keeping the player base active across mobile devices as the roster expands further.
For mobile players invested in long-term collection and live-service progression, the rollout of Maschiff also hints at the eventual arrival of Mabosstiff, bridging a noticeable gap since the Gen 9 console titles released.
