Pokemon GO has detailed its upcoming Precious Pals event, featuring the debut of Shiny Fidough, boosted buddy bonuses, and increased encounter rates for several rare Shiny Pokemon.
Niantic is keeping the mobile momentum going with a fresh update for Pokemon GO. Following the conclusion of the High Zaptitude event, trainers can look forward to the upcoming Precious Pals event. Running from Tuesday, January 20, through Sunday, January 25, this buddy-focused celebration introduces the much-anticipated Shiny debut of Fidough alongside several other rare color variants.
During the event, players can earn extra hearts with their buddy Pokemon and pick up additional Candy XL just by hitting the pavement with their partners. Alongside the bonus progression mechanics, spawn rates and hatch pools are getting a refresh. Shiny Fidough and its evolved form, Daschbun, will officially join the game, while players also get boosted odds at tracking down Shiny Goldeen, Zorua, Wimpod, and Espurr in the wild. If you prefer hatching eggs, 2km drops will feature increased chances at bagging Shiny variants of fan favorites like Togepi, Riolu, and Happiny.
Events like Precious Pals continue to highlight why location-based mobile games remain a staple for players who treat their daily commutes or walks as prime gaming time. As reported by Game Rant, this event forms a key part of the broader Precious Paths season, giving the community another solid reason to log in, group up, and hunt down those elusive rare sprites.
