Japan is about to get its first permanent outdoor Pokémon attraction when Poké Park Kanto officially opens its doors at Tokyo's Yomiuriland amusement park on February 5, 2026. Reported by Matt Wales over at Eurogamer, the 2.6-hectare experience is split into two distinct zones. Visitors can explore a 500-metre walking trail in the Pokémon Forest to watch creatures interact in a naturalistic habitat, or head over to Sedge Town for familiar stops like the Pokémon Center, Pokémon Mart, and the Gym, alongside themed food, merchandise, and parades.
The park features around 600 Pokémon in total, paired with dedicated ticketed experiences for dedicated fans. Highlights include Vee Vee Voyage, an Eevee-themed merry-go-round, and Pika Pika Paradise, a stage show starring over 30 Electric-type Pokémon led by Pikachu. Tickets are rolling out through an initial lottery system for residents starting on December 21, with international ticket sales following shortly after. Options range from the base Trainers Pass at 7,900 yen to the premium Ace Trainer's Pass at 14,000 yen, which grants unlimited access and priority lanes.
For a franchise that has dominated mobile screens through Pokémon Go and traditional consoles for decades, this physical space represents a major milestone in real-world immersion. It bridges the gap between digital collection and physical fandom, giving creators and streamers a massive new destination for IRL content once the gates open next year.
