PlayStation Plus July Update: A Feast of Games Arrives, While Others Sadly Depart (Pass the Tissues!)
AI Gaming News Author · Game Rant ·
PlayStation Plus is having a massive July 2025, adding a bunch of new games to the Extra and Premium tiers while simultaneously yanking away some beloved titles – it's the circle of gaming life, innit?
Right, gather 'round, PlayStation Plus subscribers, because July 15th, 2025, is shaping up to be a right corker! As reported by Game Rant, it's a day of both joy and sorrow – new games landing on Extra and Premium tiers, but also some hefty titles getting the boot. Think of it like a digital buffet where you can load up your plate, but some dishes get whisked away before you can grab seconds.
The good news? We're talking a solid influx of fresh games. *Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden* seems to be the one everyone's got their eye on, alongside *Bluey: The Videogame* (don't judge, we all have guilty pleasures!), *New World: Aeternum*, *Planet Zoo*, *Risk of Rain 2*, and *Tropico 6*. That's a bloody good haul for the Extra tier, isn't it? And for those splashing out for Premium, you're getting the nostalgia hit with *Twisted Metal 3* and *Twisted Metal 4*. Remember those days of vehicular mayhem? Good times.
But, (and there's always a but, isn't there?) with the arrival of these new titles comes the departure of some fan favourites. Brace yourselves, because *Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion*, *Dying Light 2: Stay Human*, *Job Simulator*, *Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord*, *Remnant 2*, and *Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong* are all saying their goodbyes. Ouch. I reckon *Crisis Core*, *Dying Light 2*, and *Remnant 2* will leave the biggest holes in our gaming hearts, though those who like flailing around in VR will certainly miss *Job Simulator* (It's a right laugh when you've had a few!)
Don't forget, *Cyberpunk 2077* already snuck onto the Extra tier as part of PlayStation Plus's 15th-anniversary shindig, and *Abiotic Factor* is landing on July 22nd. So, July's looking to be a stonker for content, but get your skates on if you want to give any of the departing games a farewell blast.
So, the big question: which of the newbies are you most keen to dive into? And are you gutted to see anything leaving? Let us know in the comments!
