PlayStation Plus is removing seven games on September 15, including Madden NFL 26, Persona 5 Tactica, and two classic Toy Story titles from the Premium tier.
PlayStation Plus subscribers have until September 15 to check out a fresh batch of departures hitting the Extra and Premium tiers. According to reporting from GameRant, the upcoming refresh will remove seven titles from the service, following last month's exit of major games like Dead Island 2 and Unicorn Overlord. The rotating nature of subscription catalogs means titles cycle in and out constantly, but this month brings a few notable losses for tactics fans and retro enthusiasts alike.
The Extra tier cuts include recent sports fixture Madden NFL 26, Atlus spin-off Persona 5 Tactica, and three entries from the Shadowrun series. Meanwhile, the Premium tier is losing two nostalgic movie tie-ins with Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue and Toy Story 3. While losing higher tier classics is uncommon, the removal of the Toy Story titles likely ties into upcoming standalone re-releases like Toy Story: Retro Roundup and Toy Story 3: Complete Edition slated for October.
Even with the departures, subscribers still have plenty of rotation activity to look forward to. Essential tier freebies arrive on September 1, and new additions for Extra and Premium are on the way, led by the confirmed inclusion of Runescape: Dragonwilds on September 15. If you want to finish up any of the outgoing games before they leave the library, now is the time to queue them up across your console setup.
