The PlayStation Plus free games for September 2026 have leaked early, revealing a diverse lineup headlined by the acclaimed indie RPG Chained Echoes alongside Sniper Elite: Resistance and Wobbly Life.
Subscription service leaks are a reliable part of the gaming calendar, and PlayStation Plus is once again feeling the heat ahead of schedule. According to a reliable report from Dealabs insider billbil-kun, the monthly Essential tier drop for September 2026 has surfaced online before Sony's official announcement. While August gave subscribers a massive win with high-profile co-op hits and survival horror, the upcoming month pivots toward a varied mix of tactical action, open world chaos, and indie greatness.
The leaked lineup for September features Sniper Elite: Resistance, the physics-based sandbox Wobbly Life, and the critically acclaimed indie RPG Chained Echoes. For players who love deep narrative adventures, Chained Echoes is easily the standout addition of the group. Inspired by classic SNES-era masterpieces, this turn-based RPG has built a massive following, and bringing it to the subscription service opens the door for plenty of new players to jump in ahead of its Ashes of Elrant expansion content.
As usual, the timing means players only have a brief window left to lock in the August offerings before the new batch arrives on the first Tuesday of the month. Official confirmation is expected shortly, giving players time to map out their backlog for the incoming rotation while managing their digital libraries across console and cloud platforms.
