Sony revealed the September PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games, headlined by the co-op survival hit RuneScape: Dragonwilds alongside titles like Slitterhead, Dungeons of Hinterberg, and Ball x Pit.
Sony has pulled back the curtain on the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium lineup for September, offering a solid roster of titles for subscribers. While the month might lack a massive marquee blockbuster right out of the gate, it makes up for it with a diverse mix of standout indie favorites, critically acclaimed hits, and strategic day one arrivals that cater to cross-platform players looking for their next major co-op obsession.
Leading the charge is RuneScape: Dragonwilds, heading to the service on September 15 for PS5. Bringing the third-person co-op survival experience straight to the subscription tier, this release follows a strong early access run on Steam and gives players a great excuse to dive in with friends. Other highlights dropping later in the month include the fiendishly compelling roguelike Ball x Pit, the imaginative world fantasy RPG Dungeons of Hinterberg, and Keiichiro Toyama's action horror trip Slitterhead.
Rounding out the September batch are titles like WWE 2K26, Sniper Elite: Resistance, the side-scrolling action of Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, and the delightfully quirky dating sim Date Everything. Meanwhile, classic catalog fans diving into the PS Premium tier can look forward to Mega Man X Command Mission and Metro Redux. It is a well-rounded update that keeps the subscription value strong for anyone looking to expand their backlog without buying games individually.
As digital libraries continue to shape how we play across console and PC ecosystems, drops like this highlight the value of subscription services in keeping active communities engaged. Whether you are coordinating a survival run in Dragonwilds or hunting down retro classics, September gives us plenty of reasons to keep our queues full. Let us know what you plan to download first this month.
