A new free Dungeon Crawler Carl browser game starring Princess Donut is now live, featuring custom voice work from audiobook narrator Jeff Hays.
The massive momentum behind the Dungeon Crawler Carl franchise is rolling right along. Beyond the recently confirmed live-action television adaptation and the upcoming tabletop RPG slated for December, fans now have a brand new interactive experience to check out. A free browser-based flash game called Mama's Night Off is officially live, giving the community a quick and entertaining way to dive back into the universe between content drops.
Created in collaboration with Maeve Chocolate, the game puts the spotlight squarely on Princess Donut. Players control the beloved cat as she blasts falling cherries with magic missiles in a straightforward arcade setup. What elevates the experience above a typical branded minigame is the audio production. Every single shot comes with an audible pew voiced by none other than Jeff Hays, the acclaimed narrator behind the series audiobooks.
Releasing a bite-sized retro-style game is a great way to keep a community engaged while major adaptations move through production. It gives the creator ecosystem and stream squads a fun excuse to share short clips and reactions online. You can play the game for free right now, and you can read the full breakdown over at IGN South Africa.
