Panache Digital Games and Patrice Désilets revealed 1666: Amsterdam at Summer Game Fest, showing off a dark witchy action-adventure with a playable prologue demo available now on PC.
During the Summer Game Fest showcase, Panache Digital Games and creative director Patrice Désilets officially pulled back the curtain on 1666: Amsterdam. Billed as a third person, dark, story-led action-adventure, the game puts players in the shoes of Noa, the Collector, who uses witchcraft to expose demonic entities hiding in plain sight among humans. The premise combines daytime investigation mechanics with nocturnal combat against demonic forces, wrapped in a historical setting that promises multiple time periods.
Fans do not have to wait long to get their hands on the project. Panache Digital Games released a standalone prologue demo on Steam and the Epic Games Store right after the reveal. Désilets noted that the studio spent the last six years focusing on the core build rather than putting together smoke-and-mirror vertical slices, inviting the community to jump straight into a playable piece of the experience.
This project carries a long history for the developer, stretching back through years of rights battles and studio shifts before landing here. As the team moves forward with early access and community feedback, players across PC and current gen consoles can finally explore what the creator of Assassin s Creed has built next.
