Palworld Update V1.0.3 Overhauls Progression, Makes Aquatic Building and Jetragon Much More Accessible

Palworld update V1.0.3 makes aquatic building and Jetragon mounts much easier to unlock, while improving resource gathering and fixing console crashes.

Palworld is continuing to refine its open world survival sandbox with the release of update V1.0.3, bringing sweeping quality of life adjustments that address some of the biggest progression bottlenecks in the game. Based on reporting by Joshua Duckworth at GameRant, the latest patch significantly lowers the barrier of entry for several major systems, making it much easier for players to dive into advanced building and late game mobility.

One of the most notable changes in the V1.0.3 update targets base building and exploration freedom. The Aquatic Construction Kit has received a massive overhaul, dropping its technology level requirement from 66 down to 23. Its Ancient Technology Point cost has also been slashed from four down to one, while the crafting requirements have been rebalanced. This adjustment means players can experiment with water based bases much earlier in their playthrough instead of waiting until the late game grind.

Milestone mobility is also getting a much needed boost. Jetragon, widely considered one of the best flying mounts in the game, is now far more attainable. Related technologies now unlock at level 70 instead of 79, and the crafting materials needed for its riding gear have been reduced. For players working their way through the endgame skies, this cuts down the time investment considerably.

The update also focuses heavily on World Tree Holy Water, making it more useful and easier to obtain across the board. Its duration has been extended, its weight has been drastically reduced from 1 to 0.1, and it has been added to reward pools for World Tree expeditions, fishing spots, and the Large Fishing Pond. Resource management has also seen improvements, including boosted crude oil production speeds, cheaper oil extraction machines, and doubled fiber yields from trees.

Alongside these major progression tweaks, Pocketpair has packed the patch with essential bug fixes and stability improvements. These address ongoing co op issues, base navigation, boss encounters, and specific crashes on PlayStation 5 and Xbox hardware. As Palworld continues to evolve past its early access roots, these updates show a clear commitment to smoothing out the survival experience based on how communities actually play across platforms.
