Pocketpair and Bushiroad have announced Eternal Ascent, the third expansion for the Palworld Official Card Game, set to launch on January 29, 2027.
Pocketpair and Bushiroad are wasting no time keeping the momentum going for the Palworld Official Card Game. Following the massive success and subsequent inventory shortages of their July launch set, the developers have officially teased the third expansion, titled Eternal Ascent, which is scheduled to drop on January 29, 2027. According to details shared by Game Rant, the upcoming set will kick off the new year by introducing a fresh mix of early-game favorites and powerful late-game creatures across the physical card game's four main colors, alongside versatile new Colorless cards that fit into any deck build.
Physical card collectors and tabletop enthusiasts have watched the Palworld TCG experience a rocky supply chain since its debut. The initial Dawn of Palpagos set sold out almost instantly at local game stores, sparking a wave of scalping on secondary marketplaces that forced Bushiroad to promise aggressive reprint waves and a dedicated 2nd Edition print run. By locking in release dates far in advance and encouraging fans to support local hobby shops for pre-orders, the publishers are clearly trying to stabilize the economy around the physical game as it scales up.
Players do not have to wait until January to expand their physical binders, however. The second expansion, Legends Awaken, is slated for an October 30 release and will inject 100 new cards into the ecosystem, including heavy hitters like Jetragon and Chillet Ignis. As digital survival games continue to successfully bridge the gap into physical merchandise and tabletop spaces, the Palworld TCG is shaping up to be a notable player in the modern collector scene.
