Palworld Teams Up With Ultrakill for Unexpected December Crossover

Palworld's upcoming Home Sweet Home update introduces an unexpected crossover with indie FPS hit Ultrakill, alongside extensive base building upgrades and color customization.

Pocketpair is keeping the momentum going for Palworld with a major new update scheduled for December 17. Titled Home Sweet Home, the patch brings a robust expansion to base building alongside a crossover that nobody saw coming. Palworld is joining forces with Ultrakill, the high-intensity retro FPS created by Arsi Patala, bringing a distinct flavor of chaotic movement and gunfire to the creature collection survival game. Players will soon be able to explore the open world outfitted as either V1 or V2, complete with the ability to reflect bullets off flipped coins and blast targets with a newly added shotgun.

Beyond the crossover content, the upcoming update focuses heavily on community feedback by introducing deep base customization options. Players will finally have access to a vibrant palette of colors and modular design tools to completely transform their outposts. It is a welcome addition for builders who have spent hundreds of hours optimizing resource production lines and want their bases to finally reflect some personal aesthetic flair.

This new content drop arrives as Pocketpair continues to navigate its ongoing legal landscape. The studio has recently seen favorable developments in the United States regarding patent reexaminations involving Nintendo, giving the developer more breathing room to focus on regular content delivery. As reported by Connor Makar over at Eurogamer, the update lands just in time to close out the year for the multi-platform survival hit. You can read the full breakdown over at Eurogamer.
