Palworld Rolls Out Version 1.0.4 Update Featuring Quality-of-Life Upgrades and Balance Tweaks

Palworld's latest v1.0.4 update brings a Palpedia name search, new sub-missions, and dozens of balance and stability improvements across all platforms.

Pocketpair has pushed out a substantial new update for Palworld, bringing the open-world monster-catching title up to version 1.0.4 across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Following the game's official 1.0 launch earlier this year, the development team continues to refine the core experience with a heavy focus on balance tweaks, performance optimization, and long-requested quality-of-life additions.

Among the standout additions in the v1.0.4 patch notes is a much-needed name search function for the Palpedia, allowing players to easily track down specific creatures. The update also introduces two new sub-missions entitled Beyond Dimensions and From the Far Side of the Moon, giving players fresh objectives to tackle around Mount Obsidian and Fisherman's Point. Combat and base building receive plenty of attention as well, with adjustments ensuring summoned and base Pals prioritize higher-damage skills and no longer accidentally catch fire from player-built campfires.

Under the hood, the patch addresses dozens of technical issues with over fifty major bug fixes targeting crashes, multiplayer stability, and server performance. Reduced rendering load times around the World Tree area and smoother foliage display help round out an update designed to keep the game running smoothly across all supported platforms.
