Overwatch Hero 52 Shion Brings Motorcycle Combat and High-Caliber Action to the Roster

Blizzard has revealed the gameplay kit for Overwatch hero 52, Shion, a Damage role mob boss who brings dual pistols, agile dodging, and full motorcycle combat to the game on June 16.

Blizzard has pulled back the curtain on Shion, the 52nd hero joining the Overwatch roster, and her gameplay kit looks entirely different from anything the hero shooter has seen before. Stepping in as a gunslinging Hashimoto mob boss and Damage hero, Shion wields a pair of ornate Kira Pistols capable of dual-firing or unleashing a devastating multi-shot execution spray. Beyond her shooting mechanics, she brings a cinematic quick-dodge to the battlefield and an ultimate ability that targets enemies with a high-voltage spinning attack.

The real standout moment from the gameplay reveal, however, is her bike. As reported by Polygon, Shion actually incorporates her Akira inspired motorcycle directly into combat encounters on the new Tokyo map. Players can ride the vehicle, ghost-ride it straight into opponents like Cassidy, or launch it skyward to execute aerial maneuvers against heroes like Pharah. It is a wildly expressive kit that promises to shake up matches when she officially arrives.

Shion marks the seventh hero added to Overwatch during its milestone tenth anniversary year, following a packed 2026 lineup that has already introduced characters like Domina, Anran, and Jetpack Cat. With three more heroes still on the way before the year wraps up, Blizzard is maintaining a rapid cadence of content drops. Players can jump in and try Shion out when she drops on June 16 alongside season three, titled Into the Tiger's Den, across all major platforms.
