The trenches are getting crowded soon. Flying Squirrel Entertainment just dropped the official release date trailer for Over The Top: WWI, giving us a fresh look at their upcoming third person multiplayer action shooter. If you are tired of modern military shooters and futuristic sci fi movement tech, this gritty historical title looks ready to shake up your squad night rotation with some massive tactical firefights.
Originally spotted via IGN South Africa, the new footage highlights the chaotic scale of early twentieth century warfare. We are talking about sprawling battlefield maps, brutal trench warfare, and large scale multiplayer skirmishes that lean heavily into historical authenticity. It is the kind of project that relies on strong community coordination, making it a prime candidate for group sessions and creator streams once it officially launches.
For players who split their time between tactical shooters and massive multiplayer sandboxes, this release adds another intriguing option to an already packed calendar. Keep an eye on how the developers handle post launch content and community feedback, because a tactical historical shooter lives or dies by its active player base. Check out the original details and trailer breakdown over at IGN South Africa.
