The Nintendo Switch 2 is receiving eight major games in September 2026, including platform exclusives like Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave and Orbitals alongside heavy third-party releases.
As reported by Game Rant, the Nintendo Switch 2 is gearing up for a busy month with at least eight high profile titles scheduled to drop in September 2026. Following a strong first year on the market, the console continues to pull in both major third party support and high profile first party offerings across a wide variety of genres.
Two major exclusives are headlining the September calendar. The first is Orbitals, a cooperative sci-fi adventure with an eighties anime art style, while the second is Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, promising the most feature rich tactical RPG experience the franchise has seen yet. These exclusives sit alongside heavy hitters like NBA 2K27, EA Sports FC 27, Onimusha: Way of the Sword, Valheim, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, and Minecraft Dungeons 2.
This robust lineup highlights how well the new hardware is securing essential third party titles right out of the gate, avoiding the software droughts that occasionally hit its predecessor. With additional heavy hitters like a rumored Ocarina of Time remake and FromSoftware's PvPvE project on the horizon, Switch 2 owners have a very healthy gaming schedule ahead of them as the holiday season approaches.
