Nintendo has surprise-released a set of Majora's Mask digital collectible cards on the Nintendo Today app as part of the franchise's ongoing anniversary celebration.
Nintendo has quietly expanded its ongoing franchise anniversary celebrations by dropping a surprise set of Majora's Mask digital collectible cards on the Nintendo Today app. Replacing the previous Breath of the Wild set, the new collection features twenty iconic characters including Skull Kid and Tingle. Players can open one card pack per day and answer trivia questions to earn tokens, which can then be exchanged for additional cards or themed phone wallpapers. This digital release arrives just ahead of the upcoming Majora's Mask soundtrack drop on the Nintendo Music app.
The timing has naturally fueled community speculation about a potential full game remake. With an Ocarina of Time remake slated for next month, fans are hoping Nintendo might follow its historical pattern of treating both classic titles to modern updates, much like the 3DS era. While a full remake remains unconfirmed, these digital drops and upcoming audio releases give longtime fans a fun daily engagement loop to pass the time while celebrating one of the franchise's most unique entries.
For players deeply embedded in modern digital ecosystems and daily login rewards, this type of drop offers a low friction way to stay connected to a beloved universe. It keeps community momentum high across mobile devices while everyone waits for bigger hardware announcements.
