Nintendo is releasing a physical Nintendo Switch 2 bundle for Pokémon Legends: Z-A that includes the base game and the Mega Dimension DLC on a single cartridge on October 29.
For players who held off on diving into the streets of Lumiose City, Nintendo is offering a fresh entry point. A newly announced physical release for Pokémon Legends: Z-A bundles the base game and the Mega Dimension expansion onto a single cartridge, serving a major win for physical media collectors who prefer having their software rights tangible and on the shelf. The package also includes a bonus digital code for one hundred Ultra Balls to help kickstart the journey.
Set for an October 29 release, this upcoming version carries backward compatibility in mind. While it is tailored to take advantage of the new Nintendo Switch 2 hardware, the cartridge will still run on original Switch consoles, though players on older hardware will miss out on the platform specific performance upgrades. Nintendo has not yet confirmed the exact retail price, though the digital bundle currently sits at ninety nine dollars, suggesting a comparable tag for the physical box.
While the base game was a massive commercial hit that crossed twelve million copies sold by the end of 2025, the Mega Dimension expansion received a more mixed critical reception regarding its pacing. Even with some heavily padded grind elements noted by reviewers at Polygon, this upcoming physical drop remains the definitive way for late adopters to grab the complete package in one box.
