New Steam Indie Sim Lets You Deal Drugs From an Ice Cream Truck

An upcoming indie game on Steam titled Mr. Trippy lets players run an illicit drug operation out of an ice cream truck while managing heat levels from law enforcement.

Polygon reports that independent developer Silver Bullet has announced a new Steam game called Mr. Trippy, where players step into the shoes of a local ice cream vendor with a lucrative side hustle. Behind the counter of a vehicle bearing the game's title, you serve up items like Cocoa Kush and Mary Jane's Berry, which combine standard frozen treats with cannabis, alongside other menu items laced with pills.

While the concept is undeniably absurd, the mechanics lean heavily into classic simulation and risk management loops. The official Steam page notes that local cops and undercover agents will monitor your activities, requiring players to study patrol patterns, fulfill orders carefully, and manage a Heat Meter to avoid a prison sentence. Successful kingpins will also need to launder their earnings through a front business called the Legit Laundry.

Even without a confirmed release date, the game has quickly built substantial momentum on Valve's platform. Polygon notes that the title crossed 28,000 wishlists within just a week of its early August reveal, signaling strong community appetite for unconventional indie simulators that lean into chaotic sandbox gameplay.
