Lucasfilm has dropped a fresh look at Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, giving fans a new clip titled 'Don't Touch the Missile Battery Switch' ahead of the film's theatrical release. As reported by IGN South Africa, the footage showcases everyone's favorite green companion attempting to take control during a high stakes chase, leaning fully into the chaotic charm that defined the Disney+ series.
Directed by Jon Favreau and co-written alongside Dave Filoni and franchise creator George Lucas, the movie makes the major jump from streaming screens to the big screen. The stacked cast features returning talent like Pedro Pascal alongside heavy hitters such as Sigourney Weaver and Jeremy Allen White. For a generation of gamers and sci-fi fans who treat cinematic universes as ongoing social events, this theatrical pivot marks a significant moment for the modern Star Wars ecosystem.
While traditional box office releases sometimes feel detached from the interactive experiences dominating our screens, major franchise tentpoles like this still drive massive community discourse across Discord, Twitch, and YouTube creator channels. As the May 22 release date approaches, expect plenty of breakdown videos, meme formats, and cross-media hype. You can watch the original clip over at IGN South Africa.
