A fresh trailer for the upcoming Lanterns series reveals new footage of the Green Lantern suit, ring powers, and Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner.
IGN South Africa recently dropped a fresh look at the upcoming Lanterns series, giving fans a solid glimpse at the live action Green Lantern suit, ring powers in action, and Nathan Fillion stepping into the role of Guy Gardner. For comic fans who have been waiting to see how DC translates these cosmic abilities to the screen, the new footage offers plenty of encouraging visual details.
The trailer manages to lean into a grounded, detective style tone while still showing off the signature hard light constructs that make the Corps unique. It is a tricky balance for any adaptation, especially one carrying the weight of modern superhero fatigue, but the early design choices show a clear respect for the source material.
As comic adaptations increasingly compete with high budget gaming universes for our attention, tone and execution matter more than ever. If the final series can match the atmosphere of this latest preview, it might just give superhero fans the gritty yet faithful adaptation they have been asking for.
