A new official 1:8 scale Hilbert and Victini figure from Kotobukiya and Sideshow brings Pokemon Generation 5 back into the spotlight with a $120 price tag and a 2027 release window.
Pokemon merchandise continues to command serious attention from collectors, and a newly confirmed release is giving Generation 5 fans a major nostalgic nod. As reported by Game Rant, Sideshow and Kotobukiya have opened pre-orders for an official 1:8 scale Hilbert and Victini figure, which brings back the male protagonist from Black and White alongside the iconic mythical Pokemon. Based on a newly commissioned illustration by series artist Hitoshi Ariga, the piece captures Hilbert checking his Xtransceiver while Victini leaps through sculpted flames.
Standing at roughly 7.8 inches tall and meticulously sculpted in PVC by Tatsuya Hattori, the piece carries a hefty $120 price tag. It is currently slated to ship between April and June 2027, with pre-orders capped at six units per customer. While high-end collectibles are nothing new for a franchise closing in on its 30th anniversary, this release adds to a busy future for the series, which also recently teased upcoming LEGO sets and the horizon of Generation 10.
For long-time fans who cut their teeth on the Unova region over a decade ago, premium items like this highlight how well the franchise translates its history into high-end physical displays. Even as modern players juggle cross-platform releases, mobile card games, and upcoming hardware generations, the enduring appeal of classic character designs proves that Gen 5 still holds a special place in the community.
