James Bond is stepping back into the spotlight with a fresh look at IO Interactive's upcoming spy thriller. IGN Fan Fest 2026 brought a brand new trailer for 007 First Light, giving players another glimpse at the character Bawma, brought to life by musician and actor Lenny Kravitz. The footage leans heavily into the cinematic presentation and slick atmosphere that fans of modern espionage titles expect from the studio behind the Hitman series.
While story details remain tightly guarded, the inclusion of high-profile talent like Kravitz signals a major production ambition for the project. For players watching across console, PC, and cloud platforms, the revival of a major interactive Bond experience is long overdue. IO Interactive has built immense community goodwill through its meticulous sandbox design, and anticipation is high to see how that translates into a linear, narrative-driven spy epic.
As the industry gears up for more seasonal showcases and creator-led coverage, expect a deeper dive into gameplay mechanics and release timelines soon. Original reporting and the latest trailer can be found over at IGN South Africa.
