Polygon has launched a comprehensive interactive timeline tracking every canon Star Wars movie and TV show, helping fans make sense of the sprawling franchise history following the theatrical release of The Mandalorian and Grogu.
Keeping track of where every movie, show, and spin-off lands in the Star Wars universe has practically become a part-time job. With The Mandalorian and Grogu hitting the big screen, the timeline of a galaxy far, far away just got a little more crowded. Whether you are trying to figure out how the new movie connects back to the original trilogy or you just want to know where the streaming series fit in the grand scheme, keeping all those eras straight can be a real challenge.
To make sense of decades of storytelling, the team over at Polygon put together a comprehensive interactive timeline that maps out every single piece of official canon. You can explore everything from Young Jedi Adventures in the distant past all the way to The Rise of Skywalker, complete with the franchise standard dating system centered around the Battle of Yavin. It is a slick tool for fans who want to dive deep into the lore or plan out their next chronological rewatch binge.
Tools like this are great for communities that love dissecting lore, discussing continuity clues on Discord, and creating endless video essays for YouTube. Head over to Polygon to check out the interactive guide in full screen mode and sort out your next marathon.
