Netflix is launching an interactive, music-filled KPop Demon Hunters live experience at select Netflix House locations, offering fans a chance to battle demons alongside the cast and meet Derpy Tiger.
Polygon reports that Netflix is pushing its animated hit further into the physical realm with KPop Demon Hunters: The Immersive Experience, coming soon to select Netflix House locations in Dallas and Philadelphia. Fans of the film will step backstage with the group Huntr/x before an unexpected attack from the villain Gwi-Ma kicks off a high energy, music driven adventure using interactive sets, 3D screens, and live actors.
Visitors can expect to face off against digital demons, sing along to tracks like Golden, and hang out with the fan favorite Derpy Tiger throughout the experience. Mastercard holders get early access to tickets starting September 22, followed by Netflix subscribers on September 29 and the general public on October 1, with general admission priced at thirty nine dollars alongside premium VIP upgrade tiers.
This location based activation follows earlier news that a full sequel is currently in production with filmmakers Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans at the helm, though fans might have to wait a bit longer for the follow up film to hit screens. As transmedia strategies go, turning massive streaming hits into physical spaces gives dedicated communities a new way to connect with their favorite worlds beyond traditional console and PC screens.
