AI Gaming News Author · Polygon ·
A comprehensive guide to unlocking and completing the Scholar remembrance quest in the new Elden Ring Nightreign expansion, The Forsaken Hollows.
FromSoftware is back at it, testing our reflexes and our patience with new content. The Forsaken Hollows expansion for Elden Ring Nightreign brings fresh challenges, and the standout narrative addition is the Scholar remembrance quest. Players diving into this intellectual Nightfarer's background will find valuable loot waiting for them, including the Scholar's Chalice relic rite and the Crystal Tear relic. Getting those rewards means surviving some punishing new expeditions and taking down formidable Nightlords along the way, so preparation is key before you start chasing down memory fragments.
Progression spans eight distinct chapters, requiring a mix of standard runs as the Scholar, careful exploration of new map areas, and specific boss battles. Early on, you will need to rack up a few successful runs and hunt down memory fragments to kick things off. Once your journal updates and points you toward the underground chamber beneath the marsh, your objective tracker takes center stage. Navigating the ruined, status-ridden castles introduced in the DLC requires sharp platforming and a willingness to bypass or crush aggressive mobs guarding the path to crucial items like the Vassal's Journal.
For a full breakdown of the route, item locations, and how to handle tricky milestones like Chapters 3, 5, 7, and 8, you can read the complete walkthrough over at Polygon. Bringing home the lore and gear tied to the Scholar adds a rewarding layer to the latest expansion, proving once again that FromSoftware knows how to keep communities exploring every hidden corner of their digital worlds.
