Naughty Dog is celebrating The Last of Us Day by giving players a batch of free content across PlayStation and PC platforms. As reported by Game Rant, the studio has released a new promotional code that unlocks four distinct profile avatars for PS4 and PS5 owners. These items feature familiar icons from the franchise, including the Seraphites and Washington Liberation Front factions, alongside Ellie's iconic space pin.
Getting these items does not require an active PS Plus subscription, meaning any player can redeem them simply by inputting the correct regional code on the PlayStation Store. Alongside the profile avatars, Naughty Dog added a brand new dynamic background to the PlayStation Welcome Hub. This custom theme features atmospheric effects highlighting Joel and Abby, giving players a fresh look for their console home screens.
Beyond the free customization items, the celebration includes wider community events like charity streams and new digital goods. PC players also get in on the action with upcoming Steam discounts lowering the price of both major franchise titles starting October 1. It is a straightforward way for the community to show their fandom without opening their wallets, letting players refresh their profiles while the studio highlights its flagship series.
