Moonlighter Studio Reveals ReVamp, A Tower Defense Roguelike Starring Dracula

Moonlighter developer Digital Sun has announced ReVamp, a tower defense roguelike where players help a cursed Dracula build and defend a modular castle against endless waves of mortals.

Digital Sun, the team behind the hit shopkeeping action RPG Moonlighter, is expanding its portfolio with a brand new project. During the recent Future Games Show Spring Showcase, the studio announced ReVamp, a tower defense roguelike that casts players as a cursed Dracula defending his stronghold. According to details shared by Rock Paper Shotgun, the dark lord has been cursed by Achlys, the goddess of the night, condemning him to face endless waves of mortal invaders every single night.

Unlike traditional action titles, ReVamp shifts the focus to tactical placement and base building. Players command an army of customized monsters, skeletons, and beasts, deploying them throughout a fully modular castle. Between onslaughts, you can completely rearrange your floor plan, adding new chambers and upgrading rooms using the blood collected from fallen foes. While you can occasionally step onto the battlefield as Dracula himself when your legion begins to waver, the core loop relies heavily on strategic placement and progression between runs.

As with the best modern roguelikes, defeat is simply part of the cycle rather than the end of the road. Dying allows players to unlock better creatures, purchase new permanent chambers, and open up deeper layers of strategy for future runs. There is no official release window yet, but players can already wishlist the game on Steam. For more details on the announcement, you can check out the original report on Rock Paper Shotgun.
