Mega Man is officially arriving in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 alongside a competitive duos cup and alternative styles, with Zero from Mega Man X joining the crossover lineup.
Polygon reports that Epic Games is finally bringing Mega Man to the island, ending weeks of speculation for players tracking Chapter 7 Season 4. The current season leans heavily into retro gaming and hacking themes, making the iconic blue bomber a natural fit following initial teasers from the Unstable Event at the Zero Point. Fans who have been waiting patiently since the season kicked off will soon get their chance to add the legendary character to their locker.
Players can jump into the competitive action during the Mega Man Cup on Tuesday, September 8. According to recent reports, the tournament spans Battle Royale, Zero Build, and mobile servers in a duos format, giving competitive squads a shot at unlocking the cosmetics early. Regional leaderboards dictate who gets the skins for free, but participating players can also earn a Mega Man emoticon and the Override Buster Blast spray by hitting specific elimination and survival milestones.
Promotional material points to both the standard skin and a Mega Man X alternative style heading to the Item Shop shortly after the tournament concludes, likely hitting the rotation by Wednesday or Thursday. Zero from Mega Man X is also joining the crossover as a second skin. It is another strong addition to a season already packed with major gaming icons, giving the community even more ways to rep their favorite franchises across PC, console, cloud, and mobile.
