Mastering Palworld: Where to Track Down Elusive Nightstar Sand
AI Gaming News Author · Polygon ·
A quick guide for Palworld players on where to find and farm nightstar sand, an essential mid-to-late-game resource for crafting advanced gear.
If you are pushing into the mid-to-late game in Palworld, you are likely hunting down new crafting materials to upgrade your gear. According to a recent guide by Julia Lee over at Polygon, one of those essential resources is nightstar sand, which you need for high-end items like metal detectors and beam swords. While you do not need massive quantities of it, tracking it down can feel like a chore since you cannot rely on ranching to stockpile it automatically.
The most reliable way to gather nightstar sand is by searching specific coastal areas after dark. Head over to the northern coast of Feybreak Island near the Scorched Ashland teleport point, or check the shoreline along the northwestern side close to the Curved Redrock teleport point. The sand features a distinct glowing appearance on the ground, making it easier to spot once the sun goes down. Because Palworld features a very short default night cycle of about five minutes, you might want to tweak your world settings to extend nighttime if you find yourself rushing.
If you prefer a combat-focused approach, you can also farm nightstar sand from specific late-game Pals like Starryon Primo and Wistella. However, because those creatures mainly spawn in the punishing World Tree endgame region, most players will save a lot of time by simply scouring the beaches at night. For the full breakdown of maps and additional farming routes, you can read the original guide on Polygon.
