Marvel actors Michael Peña and Zazie Beetz weigh in on whether they will ever reprise their roles as Luis and Domino in future cinematic universe projects.
As the cinematic universe builds toward its massive multiversal showdowns in upcoming Avengers projects, the rumor mill is spinning overtime with speculation about every single actor who has ever donned a cape or appeared in a superhero franchise. Naturally, this has fans wondering about beloved supporting characters who have been missing in action for years. Polygon recently caught up with actors Michael Peña and Zazie Beetz while they were promoting their upcoming sci-fi comedy Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die to ask if they would ever reprise their respective Marvel roles.
For fans of the Ant-Man franchise, the absence of Peña as the fast talking, storytelling connoisseur Luis in Quantumania was hard to miss, especially since his iconic van played a pivotal role in Endgame. When asked if he will ever return to the MCU, Peña kept it brief with a straightforward no idea, echoing recent rumors that his time with the franchise might have concluded. Meanwhile, Beetz, who brought the probability manipulating mutant Domino to life in Deadpool 2, expressed a bit more enthusiasm about the possibility of stepping back into action. While she also claimed to have no current plans, she noted that she would happily return if a script comes along, leaving the door open for future appearances in potential sequels or crossover events.
With major multiverse events on the horizon and creators constantly looking for ways to surprise audiences, the line between cinematic universes and gaming tie ins continues to blur as players experience these stories across screens of all sizes. Whether through cross platform adaptations, massive seasonal events, or traditional film viewings, community investment in these characters remains remarkably high. While the immediate future looks uncertain for Luis and his legendary recaps, the door remains wide open for Domino to cash in on her signature luck in future franchise installments.
