Jubilee is joining Marvel Rivals for Season 9, bringing explosive pyrotechnic and vampiric abilities tied to a dark bargain with Apocalypse.
NetEase is keeping the momentum high for its hit hero shooter, and the latest character trailer highlights Jubilee as the next major addition to the roster. Arriving in Season 9, Jubilation Lee brings her signature pyrotechnic plasma and vibrant energy attacks to the battlefield. The new trailer, originally shared by IGN South Africa, showcases how her explosive personality translates directly into fast-paced gameplay.
This particular version of Jubilee comes with some heavy lore attached to the game's ongoing storyline. Caught up in the chaos of the Timestream Entanglement, her son Shogo became trapped in his dragon form. To save him, Jubilee struck a deal with Apocalypse in Thebes, transforming her into his Horseman of Famine. That dark bargain adds vampiric abilities to her traditional firework attacks, giving her kit a distinct visual and mechanical identity for players to master.
For a live service game relying on a steady stream of new heroes to keep meta discussions alive on Twitch and Discord, tying character drops to narrative events is a smart move. Season 9, titled The Mystery of Thebes, launches on July 10, 2026, across PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox Series X/S. Players will soon find out how her mix of plasma projectiles and new mechanics shakes up competitive lobbies.
