NetEase Games has revealed that Elsa Bloodstone is joining Marvel Rivals as a Duelist in the upcoming Season 6.5 update on February 13, featuring a weapon-swapping playstyle, summon abilities, and a new team-up mechanic with Deadpool.
NetEase Games is keeping the momentum going for its hit hero shooter by detailing everything coming in Season 6.5, highlighted by the debut of a brand-new roster addition. Elsa Bloodstone is officially joining the game as a Duelist on February 13, bringing a high-damage playstyle centered around weapon-swapping and tactical creature summoning. According to the latest developer update, mastering Elsa means constantly cycling through her arsenal to maintain offensive pressure and actively reduce your ability cooldowns. She will also feature a special team-up mechanic with Deadpool that alters the functionality of her Breathing Gun when targeting teammates, adding another layer of coordination for competitive squads.
This mid-season drop follows a massive period of experimentation for the title, which recently captured the community's attention with massive 18v18 Annihilation matches and a wildly popular Marvel Zombies horde mode. The reception to those alternative modes proved that players are hungry for experiences outside standard competitive loops, and NetEase is clearly taking note as it plans out the rest of the year. Following a packed 2025 that established the game as a major multiplayer staple, the development team is promising an even larger content roadmap throughout 2026.
For the active community of players across console and PC, regular hero drops and experimental modes help keep the meta fresh and streaming viewership high. As hero shooters continue to evolve to meet modern expectations for seasonal content and digital economies, keeping the roster dynamic is essential for player retention.
