Marvel Partners With Webtoon to Revamp Its Digital Comics Library

Marvel is replacing its Marvel Unlimited app with a new platform built by Webtoon on November 16, bringing 35,000 comics and expanded Disney properties to mobile and web readers.

Marvel is shaking up its digital reading ecosystem by retiring the long-running Marvel Unlimited app and launching a brand new platform built in partnership with Webtoon. Set to arrive on November 16, the new app will house more than 35,000 digital comics, expanding the library to include stories from Star Wars, 20th Century Studios, Pixar, and Disney Animation. Current subscribers will be able to transfer their existing reading history over to the new platform without losing their place.

The collaboration brings Webtoon's technical expertise to the massive Marvel catalog, introducing modern quality-of-life features designed specifically for mobile screens and web browsers. Players and readers who treat their phones as primary entertainment hubs will benefit from an updated smart panel layout, personalized discovery tools, and a dynamic cover-scroll interface. A dedicated Pull List feature also makes it easier to track upcoming issues from favorite creators and franchises.

Pricing for the standard tier remains steady at $9.99 per month or $69.99 per year, granting access to new issues roughly three months after their print release. For those who want faster updates, an Ultimate tier is available for $12.49 per month or $99.99 per year, dropping the wait time for new issues down to just one month. As reported by Polygon, pre-registrations for discounted annual plans are already open ahead of the platform's official November launch.
