A major leak has revealed seven upcoming characters allegedly heading to Marvel Rivals across future seasons, including Doctor Doom, Nightcrawler, Jubilee, and The Hood.
The roster for Marvel Rivals appears to be expanding significantly over the coming months, according to a fresh wave of insider information circulating online. Originally tracked by community detectives on the r/GamingLeaksAndRumors subreddit via sources like X0XLEAK and MultiverSusie, a roadmap of future character additions has leaked ahead of schedule. As reported by Game Rant, the datamined plans outline seven upcoming fighters spanning multiple seasons of the hero shooter, bringing a mix of heavy-hitting villains and fan-favorite mutants into the meta.
According to the leaks, players can expect The Hood and Jubilee to join the character select screen in Season 9, with The Hood stepping in as a Vanguard and Jubilee taking on a Strategist role. Season 10 is slated to introduce Gorr the God Butcher and Nightcrawler, while Season 11 is projected to feature the long-awaited arrival of Doctor Doom as a playable combatant. Additional names like Blue Marvel and Crescent are also tied to the upcoming slate, though exact season placements for every character remain subject to change as developer NetEase finalizes their balancing and development pipeline.
For a live service game that has steadily evolved since its December 2024 launch, maintaining a steady cadence of fresh heroes is crucial for keeping the community engaged across competitive queues and casual lobbies. While NetEase has not yet officially confirmed this lineup, the timing aligns with the game's ongoing seasonal structure, which continues to drop major content updates like the upcoming Cyclops release in Season 8. As always, players should take unverified leaks with a grain of salt, but the prospect of mastering Doctor Doom and Nightcrawler in upcoming patches gives the community plenty of reasons to look ahead.
